Das Circus Circus Hotel ist ein in <a href="Winchester_(Nevada)" title="Winchester (Nevada)">Winchester</a> direkt am <a href="Las_Vegas_Strip" title="Las Vegas Strip">Las Vegas Strip</a> befindliches <a href="Spielbank" title="Spielbank">Casino</a> und <a href="Hotel" title="Hotel">Hotel</a>, das unter dem <a href="%C3%9Cberschrift" title="Überschrift">Motto</a> <a href="Zirkus" title="Zirkus">Zirkus</a> operiert.

<div class="mw-heading mw-heading2"><h2 id="Geschichte">Geschichte</h2></div>

Das Circus Circus wurde von Jay Sarno und Stanley Mallin gegründet.<a href="#cite_note-1">[1]</a><a href="#cite_note-2">[2]</a> Der Name geht auf eine ursprünglich geplante Gestaltung als römischer Zirkus zurück, die später in ein klassisches Zirkuskonzept geändert wurde.<a href="#cite_note-3">[3]</a> Das Konzept unterschied sich deutlich von Sarnos früherem Projekt <a href="Caesars_Palace" title="Caesars Palace">Caesars Palace</a>.<a href="#cite_note-4">[4]</a><a href="#cite_note-5">[5]</a> Die Planungen begannen Ende 1967.<a href="#cite_note-:0-6">[6]</a> Das Gebäude wurde von Rissman and Rissman Associates entworfen, Generalunternehmer war R. C. Johnson and Associates aus <a href="Las_Vegas" title="Las Vegas">Las Vegas</a>.<a href="#cite_note-7">[7]</a> Der Standort befindet sich am <a href="Las_Vegas_Strip" title="Las Vegas Strip">Las Vegas Strip</a> gegenüber dem Riviera und neben dem ehemaligen Westward Ho.<a href="#cite_note-8">[8]</a> Die Eröffnung erfolgte am 18. Oktober 1968.<a href="#cite_note-9">[9]</a> Die Baukosten beliefen sich auf 4,2 Millionen US-Dollar bei ursprünglich veranschlagten 3,9 Millionen US-Dollar. Das Casino erhielt ein zeltförmiges Dach aus Stahl und Beton mit einer Höhe von rund 27 Metern aus weiß und pink gestrichenem Plexiglas.<a href="#cite_note-10">[10]</a>

Das nach Erweiterungen heute 3.767 Zimmer umfassende Hotel, das als eines der ersten am südlich erweiterten Strip am 18. Oktober 1968 eröffnet wurde,<a href="#cite_note-11">[11]</a> bietet neben fünf <a href="Restaurant" title="Restaurant">Restaurants</a>, sieben <a href="Bar_(Lokal)" title="Bar (Lokal)">Bars</a>, zwei <a href="Caf%C3%A9" title="Café">Coffee-Shops</a> und drei Casinos auch einen eigenen überdachten zwei Hektar großen <a href="Vergn%C3%BCgungspark" title="Vergnügungspark">Vergnügungspark</a> namens „<a href="Adventure_Dome" class="mw-redirect" title="Adventure Dome">Adventure Dome</a>“, der eine Canyonlandschaft mit vielen Fahr- und Abenteuerattraktionen bietet.<a href="#cite_note-12">[12]</a><a href="#cite_note-13">[13]</a> In einem Rundbau, der einem Zirkuszelt nachempfunden ist, findet stündlich die traditionelle Zirkusvorstellung statt. Die Zimmer des Hotels sind entweder im mehrflügeligen, bis zu 35 Etagen hohen Hauptgebäude oder in <a href="Motel" title="Motel">motelartigen</a> Nebengebäuden untergebracht.<a href="#cite_note-14">[14]</a> Es steht ein <a href="Wohnmobil" title="Wohnmobil">Wohnmobil</a>-Parkplatz für 399 Fahrzeuge zur Verfügung. Als Verbindung der einzelnen Hotelbauten wurde eine eigene Einschienenbahn gebaut, diese ist jedoch außer Betrieb. 1971 wurden hier mehrere Szenen des James Bond Klassikers „Diamantenfieber“ gedreht.<a href="#cite_note-15">[15]</a><a href="#cite_note-16">[16]</a> Das Hotel gehört zur <a href="MGM_Mirage" class="mw-redirect" title="MGM Mirage">MGM Resorts International</a> Gruppe.<a href="#cite_note-17">[17]</a><a href="#cite_note-18">[18]</a>
